Counselling

Counselling

We offer many types of counselling programs to children, youth, and their families based on their needs. Each of these programs may include individual counselling for the child or youth, parent support, and/or family therapy. Please see the list below for the description and referral requirements for each of the counselling programs we have to offer to Burnaby and New Westminster residents. See our Counselling Programs brochure here. To make a referral to one of these programs please click here.

Stepped Care Model for Service

The referrals for the counselling program are open to the community to be submitted by telephone, email, or fax, and the client will be contacted for an intake session as soon as possible.  Our counsellors then facilitate an intake session, which will then give them the information they need to make recommendations for the most therapeutically beneficial next steps for the client and their family.  Those next steps may include group, individual, and/or family therapy.
